Butterworms are imported from Chile. In addition to their colour and smell, butterworms have 43 percent of calcium as any other feeder insect
(except for the phoenix worm). The Calcium content is more than twice that of any other feeder insects. This is a great asset to your pets,
especially to growing young and pregnant females.
Butterworms are irradiated before being shipped from Chile. This is done to kill off any bacteria to prevent the butterworm from ever pupating
into a moth. These butterworms cannot be cultured at home.
They produce a natural fruity smell, aroma that appears to attract all reptiles. Butterworms are packaged in bran flakes and can be stored for up
to 4 - 6 months in a refrigerator at 50 degrees Fahrenheit, about 5-10 Celsius.
